    Donald Austin was appointed Head of School for Newark Academy in 2007. In this role, Mr. Austin works with the Board of Trustees and the administrative leadership team to fulfill NA'south mission and comprise the school's values into decision-making processes.

    Major initiatives launched nether Mr. Austin's leadership include the Immersion Experience requirement, Center School Capstone Experiences, June Term and the Newark Scholars Programme. Other highlights of Mr. Austin's leadership, to date, include a reorganized and invigorated community service plan, the initiation of a Stalk Experiences program and the successful completion of Ascension & Flourish: The Campaign for Newark Academy, which funded structure of four major majuscule improvement projects and substantial growth of the NA endowment.

    Across Newark Academy, Mr. Austin served equally President of the New Jersey Association of Contained Schools from 2012-2014 and is currently a fellow member of the national Country Day Schools Headmasters' Association.

    Prior to joining Newark Academy, Mr. Austin served as Resident Director of the Schoolhouse Year Abroad in Rennes, French republic. From 1985-2000, Mr. Austin held a variety of teaching and administrative posts at the Collegiate Schoolhouse in New York, including service as Chair of the Department of Foreign Languages, Dean of Students, Coordinator of International Programs and Chair of Collegiate'southward Accolade Committee.

    Bio

    Nancy Celente joined the Newark University faculty in 1987 every bit a member of the Science Section.     Richard DiBianca has worked in independent schools since 1985, educational activity in the fields of science, mathematics and humanities in schools in Pennsylvania, Illinois and Maryland. He joined Newark University in 1998 as Principal of the Upper Schoolhouse and continues to teach courses including IB Philosophy and Theory of Knowledge.

    A tireless advocate for dialetic instruction and the high-quality pupil appointment it fosters, Dr. DiBianca's leadership of the Upper School includes championing the process-oriented and scholarly-minded International Baccalaureate (IB) programme. His doctoral work, which focused on the degree to which various instructional formats contribute to the classroom appointment of loftier schoolhouse students, continues to inform his leadership and educational vision. Dr DiBianca is likewise responsible for incorporating experiential learning through NA's Off-Campus Written report programme and June Term.

    Bio

    Bringing with her over 25 years of experience in a wide variety of fields, including law, business and non-profit direction, and pedagogy, Rochelle Edwards joined NA in 2018. She stepped into the function of Humanities Department Chair in 2019 and Upper Schoolhouse Equity Inclusion Coordinator in 2020. In addition to these roles, Rochelle is a faculty counselor to the School Council and Black Pupil Union.

    Prior to joining NA, Rochelle worked as a general litigation and labor and employment attorney for a major international law business firm in Chicago, IL. Wanting to renew her passion for teaching and learning, Rochelle left legal practice in 2010 to pursue her doctoral degree. While attending graduate school at the University of South Carolina, Rochelle served on the policy council of Vital Connections of the Midlands, a local not-turn a profit agency, and afterward became the organization's Family unit Abet/ERSEA/Male Involvement Manager.     One of the nearly senior members of the NA faculty and assistants, Pegeen Galvin-Scott serves as the Dean of Students, as she has since 1993, maintaining a vibrant, inclusive, welcoming and generous school culture.

    Working with administrative and faculty colleagues, Ms. Galvin develops, coordinates and supports programs involving student regime, educatee leadership development, clubs and activities, field trips, the Global Speakers' Series, the Immersion Experience program and community service. She is credited with the creation of numerous NA events including the Freshman Lock-in, the infamous chocolate slide as a rite-of-passage for members of the senior class and the well-known pre-trip meetings that students and parents are required to nourish earlier traveling off campus.

    Starting equally an English teacher at NA in 1981, Ms. Galvin has taught or guest-taught at every class level.     Sam Goldfischer has been the Director of Business & Finance at Newark Academy since 1992.     Kirsti Morin has taken on many roles at Newark Academy since joining the community in 2002. Initially a faculty fellow member in the Humanities Department, Ms. Morin became Heart Schoolhouse Counselor in 2017. In this role, she works collaboratively with Middle School Master Tom Ashburn to back up the social, emotional, mental and academic development of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. She is responsible for the Middle School advisory programme and regularly delivers parent didactics programs on topics pertinent to early on adolescents.

    As a classroom teacher, Ms. Morin has taught Center School American history, Upper Schoolhouse world and American history, IB history, and the Theory of Knowledge class.     A fellow member of the NA faculty since 2008, Jeff Vinikoor was named Director of Studies in 2018. In this position, Jeff is the senior academic leader charged with oversight of the curriculum, development and implementation of bookish policies, and leadership of faculty on educational activity and classroom practices.

    Jeff also serves as Director of NA's June Term plan, which provides Upper School students in Grades 9-11 with a single intensive and experiential learning class during the last two weeks of the Spring semester. Prior to her service to Newark Academy, Mrs. Winiarski held positions in the Office of Student and Judicial Affairs at Ohio State University and in Undergraduate Admissions at Duke University.

    Mrs. Winiarski is involved in many aspects of community life at Newark Academy, including Peer Leadership Advisor, and has traveled to India as a chaperone for an Immersion Feel trip. She has too served as a guest kinesthesia member at Layette Higher and at Duke Academy.
